Results of the SIFA meeting at Fridagymnasiet in Vänersborg, Sweden, on the theme Internet Security

The students' work on internet security is divided into four sub categories. Security for:

• Government and Institutions 
• Banks and Payments
• Companies
• Private persons

Tuesday morning 14 April at the Fridagymnasiet.

Introduction to the SIFA project week activities 14-17 April, working together on Internet Security but also getting to know each other, Fridagymnasiet and Vänersborg/Trollhättan, the Swedish Education system and some things about the Swedish culture.

Individual presentation task Tuesday 14 April

All students had to:

• prepare an individual presentation according to the instructions,
• introduce him/herself to a member of the workshop group from a different country
• that person then had to introduce the other student to the group

Presentation about Workshop activities Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 April: 

• Follow up on the Innovatum Science Park activities about the future of the Internet,
• Reflect upon personal internet use according to the diaries the participants filled in before the meeting,
• Discuss the results of the SIFA Project questionnaire before the meeting in Sweden
• Discuss internet privacy and how accessible your personal information is to others after watching the Buzz Feed video
• Continue the group work on the final product

SIFA celebrations and Certificate awards to students were carried out at the Fridagymnasiet on the 8th and 9th of June 2015. There were evaluations of the SIFA project year as well as brain storm workshops to collect good ideas from the students about a good kick-off activity for the project in the autumn.

The 29 and 30 April, students and staff informed other students at the Fridagymnasiet about the SIFA project activities so far and the results of the international project meeting about Security just held at the school. The students were also informed on th eupcoming workshops on the Security topics, using the result material from the meeting.

On the 15th and 21st April Staff and students held parents’ meetings at the Fridagymnasiet. During the meeting the parents were informed about the SIFA activities so far and the international project meeting on Internet Security just held at the school. There was also a lecture about some of the dangers with excessive internet use as well as more information on the health and security aspect.
