Internet Addiction
This is the presentation about Fridagymnasiet and Sweden shown at the SIFA project meeting in Ybbs an der Donau, Austria in December 2014.
29 January 2015, over 300 pupils aged 11-16 from Trollhättan and Vänersborg attended the SIFA day in Vänersborg with lectures by Stig Roland Rask. The daytime activities were followed by a parental evening with a two hour lecture on Youth and the Internet.

Students from the 2nd Lyceum of Kos have been engaged in presenting problems related to Internet Addiction to other students.
The following presentation has been shown to students of their school on the 23rd of December 2014 and to two Primary Education Schools of the region. A discussion followed and the students who attended the presentation were really interested.
On 15th January 2015 there was held a parents’meeting in Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace im. P.Skargi in Grojec, Poland. During the meeting in the assembly hall the parents and teachers could watch a presentation on ‘Safe Internet For All’ project in the framework of Erasmus+ project. The audience were informed about all the work that has been done by the project participants, the products of the project and the follow-up steps to be taken. The lecture given by the Polish coordinator was both informative and educational. We aimed at making the parent aware of the problems the unwise use of the internet might cause and helping them deal with the possible obstacles. The problems mentioned were as follows: Internet addictions such as excessive use of the Internet, on-line gambling and excessive on-line gaming as well as health problems such as insomnia, obesity, back and eyesight problems and lack of social relationships. Apart from that the parents were also informed about other projects run by the school. One of the topics covered was health matters and safety on roads. The presentation was supported by a city police officer and health organization representative.
Here are a few newspaper articles from Poland about the first short-term meeting in Austria. Thanks to them we aim at making the local community know about the Erasmus+ project and draw conclusions out of what they read. We do hope to spread the idea of Safe Internet Use among the public.
The 26 January, the Swedish students presented the results of the SIFA meeting in Austria to students of grade 8 at the Fridaskolan school in Trollhättan. They showed pictures and films and also shared their personal experiences. The presentation was a good basis for discussions around the internet use in general and internet addiciton - the theme for the project meeting in Austria - in particular.
In the week after we all came home from Austria the student council had a meeting at Os vgs. One of the Norwegian students who went to Austria, Maria, is the president in the student council. At this meeting Maria told everyone at the meeting what experiences and work had been done in Austria. All of the students in the student council went back to their classes after the meeting and told about the project and the week in Austria.
