The 26 January, the Swedish students presented the results of the SIFA meeting in Austria to students of grade 8 at the Fridaskolan school in Trollhättan. They showed pictures and films and also shared their personal experiences. The presentation was a good basis for discussions around the internet use in general and internet addiciton - the theme for the project meeting in Austria - in particular.
On monday afternoon Dr. Leo Hemetsberger invited us for an interesting lecture about security on the internet. Besides the results of his own research Hemetsberger gave us a new view on the internet and it's long time memory. "The internet will never forget" is one of the sentences which we will remember. The students listened interested and worked in smaller groups with questions about there own internet habits. What do we have to think of when we are leaving our personal fotprint on the internet, what is important to know about copyrights when we use pictures from the internet and how can we protect our personal information? This were two of the questions the students were first discussing and then presenting.
Thank you Mr. Hemetsberger for enlightening us about a very important topic!
